With 33 years at St Xavier’s Boys’ Academy, I’ve grown alongside the institution’s legacy of ‘Pursuit of Excellence”. I’ve endeavored to uphold the values of inclusivity and intrinsic discipline. I’ve encouraged, mentored and trained students in elocution, compering, drama and debates nurturing their creativity and confidence. As Supervisor and now Principal, I will continue to uphold the Jesuit core value of ‘Magis’- always striving for more. I am committed to fostering human and academic excellence and all-round formation. I am proud to lead this community and work with students, teachers, staff and collaborate with parents and past students to take the school to greater heights, guided by our Jesuit management and values.
I believe that education, rooted in the Ignatian principle of ‘cura personalis’ (meaning ‘care for the whole person’) is a powerful way to support the holistic development of every student - intellectually, emotionally, spiritually and socially. No two days are ever the same and hence each one brings a new opportunity to learn, to guide, and to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students. I find great joy in seeing them challenged to think critically, act with empathy, and live out the Jesuit value of magis (meaning ‘more’) by striving for excellence and doing more than what is expected. I am inspired by the belief that education is not just about preparing students for careers, but for life.
